I chose to write about one incident and one man. That does not mean that this is the only thing that contributed to MY decision. Not wanting to educate someone is not the same as lacking the capability of educating someone. There is a difference. Furthermore, as I already explained in this piece, I simply do not have the desire to constantly explain to my non-Black partner my feelings nor break down every biased encounter I experience throughout my day. This is one hurdle I would not have with a Black man. This is not to say that a relationship with a Black man would be conflict free, but at least we share a common identity and understanding that won't have to be broken down on a regular basis. Of course there are good men in every race, no one is disputing that. I merely expressed my desire and preference and need for a good BLACK man. Thank you for reading and commenting.
