Why Do You Let Men Waste Your Time?
Recently, I started watching the second season of “Young, Famous & African” on Netflix. There was one couple’s conflict that stood out to me. This particular couple has been together for almost 4 years. They live together, but the girlfriend wants to get married. She has mentioned this and brought it up often. At this point, the man is pretty irritated. In fact, during the first episode, he snaps at her. Why do you mention imprisonment? In his confessional, he shares that he has been married twice before, and naturally, he does not want to get married again to get divorced. He wants to be certain. The girlfriend hears all of this, and still points out to him that they have been together for 4 years. His response? I gave you a key.

It does not take a man 4 years to know whether or not he wants to marry you. It just doesn’t, and if I were this woman, I would leave this man immediately.
First of all, you have to stop ignoring the way a man describes marriage. In this case, he refers to it as IMPRISONMENT. Why on earth would you even want to marry someone who regards the institution of marriage as captivity?
